Languages of Zimbabwe for localisation

The sidebar has a link to the language profile pages for 3 of the languages of Zimbabwe listed among the major languages of Africa. But any language can be the subject of localization.

Locale data for Zimbabwean languages

One of the first steps for localisation is to complete and file "locale data." Usually a language that is spoken in several countries will have a locale for each language-country combination. In the case of Venda, for instance, a locale has been submitted for that language in South Africa but not yet for Zimbabwe. As of 1-1-07, no locale has been submitted for Shona or the Ndebele spoken in Zimbabwe.
