VSAT

"A Very Small Aperture Terminal (VSAT), is a two-way satellite ground station with a dish antenna that is smaller than 3 meters (most VSAT antennas range from 75 cm to 1.2 meters). VSAT data rates typically range from narrowband up to 4 Mbps." (Wikipedia)

In Africa, some organisations use VSATs where internet service is unreliable. In some countries, VSATs are used for public internet services such as telecentres, especially in areas where other service is not available.
