Bisharat

Bisharat, Ltd., A language, technology and development initiative, is dedicated to enhancing the use of African languages in computing and on the internet in the service of development. It is the implementing organisation of the PanAfrican Localisation project.

Its vision is "ICT in African language for sustainable development in Africa."

Areas of interest include:

• Linking ICT4D/E projects and localization efforts
• Linking policy processes dealing with language, development and technology, both in Africa and among development donors and organizations
• Enhancing communication and availability of information relating to African langauges and technology
